Product Specifications

Surface Preparation

Before application, remove existing floor finish, dirt and other contaminants. The surface must be clean and completely dry before applying Tile Seal.

Use a NeverStrip supplied tack cloth to remove hair, lint and other fine particles. For tiled floors with grout, application of NeverStrip Color Sealer to the grout lines is recommended before applying Tile Seal, as Tile Seal will not typically seal grout on its own.

Application Instructions

1. Ensure the tile surface is clean and completely dry.

2. Shake the product thoroughly before use.

3. Apply at a rate of 93–140 m²/L per coat, depending on surface porosity and application conditions.

4. Apply the product to a looped, flat microfiber pad or lightly mist the floor using a pump-up sprayer before spreading with a microfiber pad.

5. Work in sections no larger than approximately 1.62 m² at a time.

6. Apply 2–3 thin coats as required, allowing each coat to dry before applying the next.

7. Do not overwork or over-apply the product. Do not pour Tile Seal directly onto the floor and spread.

8. Tile Seal does not require buffing or burnishing. Without burnishing, the typical finish is a medium-lustre or satin sheen.

9. For a higher gloss finish, the coating may be buffed or burnished after application.

10. Allow the final coating to remain undisturbed. Do not clean or expose the surface to water for at least 8 hours after application.

Important Application Notes

Tile Seal must be applied as a very thin film. Applying the product too heavily can cause whitening and may prevent the coating from curing correctly.

Do not allow Tile Seal to come into contact with glass, fabric, metal or painted surfaces.

In low-humidity environments, streaking may occur. NeverStrip Tile Seal for Dry Climates may be a better option in particularly dry conditions.

Removal

Tile Seal is designed to remain in place throughout its normal service life and should not normally require removal.

If removal is necessary, use a butyl-based floor finish stripper with a black stripping pad, or a NeverStrip supplied EPP pad with a weighted oscillating floor machine such as a Square Scrub. Follow standard floor stripping procedures.
